Life is fragile

It's humbling how fast one's life can suddenly implode and leave you stunned in the wake of it. We got word Thursday morning that doctors had found a large tumor in my brother-in-law when they were doing an MRI. He had taken a fall about a month ago, and the pain got progressively worse. He came home from their family vacation a few days early for an MRI, but was unable to lay flat for it because of the pain. The doctor, thinking slipped disk or something of that nature had him go home for 2 weeks bed rest, but the pain just got worse and the meds weren't touching it, so Thursday he went in and they did the MRI under sedation, which is when they found this tumor.

They've done some radiation and steroids to try to shrink the tumor, and did a biopsy on Friday. Now the waiting game for biopsy results...tomorrow hopefully.

I keep thinking of my sister and can't even imagine what she is going through. And I keep sending out prayers. It does no good to project...there is always hope, and projecting don't get you nowhere.
