Here's to more time to knit!

Not a lot to report. I haven't had a lot of time to knit in the past week and a half - lots of playdates/babysitting and a bridal shower thrown in for good measure. Do you know how long it's been since I went to a shower?! I can't remember - probably 7 yrs or so! No great loss. But this was a nice one - not too tacky :) , good food, and I got to see and hang out with the women on my husband's side of the family who (whom?) I really enjoy, and don't get to see often enough. Brought my Diagonal Garter Throw to work on, but didn't.

Last Thursday eve I went out for my regular night out. Forgot to grab the throw, but luckily had a purple scarf in the car that I work on every now and then, in between other things. It's garter stitch also, and whenever I think about working on it I think it's kind of boring, but then I take it out, and it's a rich gorgeous plummy purple - not so boring after all. So I got several inches done on that at my meeting.

Spring has sprung here. I've been getting out for some nice early morning walks. That's my time for spiritual renewal. I'm not talking religious here, I'm talking spirit-ual. Having some time to myself, bre-a-th-ing and getting recharged for the day. I love getting out there in the early morning, before the kids get up, just as the sun is starting to rise. Mmmmmm!
